Introduction to Puppetry

I am able to offer a basic introduction to puppetry particularly suited to stage management, design and scenic art students which will give students an insight into different kinds of puppetry, materials used for making puppets, an opportunity to explore how different puppets work. I have delivered this both in person and online for Mountview Theatre School as a half day or whole day (includes some puppet making) workshop but could be tailored to the course's requirements into a longer and more in-depth workshop.

Puppet Making Facilitation

I have worked on the Community Theatre Course at East 15 Theatre School alongside Steve Tiplady, to help the students create a puppet show for Under 3s.

I can faciliate students to make puppets for a show, working with them to develop their designs into functioning puppets so that they have the opportunity to explore different materials techniques and tools that can be involved in puppet making. This may include a range of materials including wood, metal, fabric, paper mache, polystyrene and foam.

I could offer puppet making facilitation for degree students working across performing arts, puppetry, theatre design, community theatre courses on projects where they want to make puppets to use in their in their shows.
